NEW ARRIVAL – Shore Soap Co.

At Rowe Spurling Paint Company we’re a small family business. That’s why I get excited about finding other companies that are equally as passionate about their products and people as we are.
I grew up in Rhode Island. It’s the smallest state in the United States but has a huge heart. With miles of coastline, acres of woods, hills, and rivers as well as a bustling capital, it’s equal parts country and city. It’s also full of passionate people who love to create products that make a difference.
A couple of years ago, on one of my trips back to Newport, Rhode Island I stumbled upon a little shop on Thames Street. The smell of their soaps and candles was amazing and I couldn’t help but bring back a few (in Changing Tide and Lazy Lavender). When I got home I looked up what Shore Soap Co. was all about and fell in love with them even more.
A handcrafted bath and body brand, established in 2013 in Newport, Rhode Island by husband and wife duo Jake and Steph Kopper. Shore Soap Co. channels their inspiration from the sea to create quality products that portray nature and simplicity. With a wide range of natural nutrient-packed products to chose from, there’s something for everyone.
Initially formed in the kitchen of their Newport Rhode Island home, Jake and Steph began experimenting with cold-process soap making. This exposure to the world of handcrafted personal care items drove them to expand beyond soap and continue formulating other new products. Their goal was to create high-end goods using natural premium ingredients while also keeping them affordable.
From one island to another, they are also passionate about the environment. Their #cleantheshore campaign educates and inspires us to make changes in our lifestyle to improve the world around us.
When our home department underwent a small expansion I knew I wanted Shore Soap Co. products to be a part of our inventory and our first shipment will be arriving next week! Below is a sneak peek of the products and smells we’ll be stocking on our shelves so we’ll be smelling extra good soon!
