Usually I am not an advocate of glossy wall paints. They highlight wall imperfections and, depending on the source and direction of your light source, can create unattractive glare in your space. Years ago, a shiny paint was the only choice in a washable finish for high traffic spaces but with today’s paint technology, flatter paints can be scrubbed clean.
That being said, when used sparingly and with purpose, glossy walls can make a stunning impression. Their reflective properties will give a soft glow to your room and highlight the architectural features of a space. Just remember that a little goes and long way and keep the rest of the elements soft and matte to avoid the space from being too busy.
