LOVELY LAVENDER For Adult Spaces

When we think about lavender (or other pastel paint colours) we often associate it with children’s spaces. However, by choosing a lavender wall colour that has just a hint of grey (Benjamin Moore Dreamy Cloud 2117-70 or Heaven 2118-70 are a couple of my favourites) it can instantly feel grown up and add a feminine soft touch to any room in the house. For modern space with a cool colour scheme look for shades of lavender that lean toward the blue. I love this look in the bathroom with brushed stainless fixtures, marble counters/flooring and plenty of white trim. For warmer spaces a hint of pink will give the room a cheerful blush. Pair with creamy woodwork and a rich wood like mahogany. If you’re looking for a bit more drama use a high contrast colour scheme or lavender, black and white.
