SURPRISE With A Pop Of Colour

Lime Green Inside Bathroom Cabinet
Bold colours are great for adding a bit of drama to any room in the house but painting an entire room electric orange may not be for everyone. Bright colours in small doses, however, are perfect for adding visual interest, and a bit of fun, to any room.
One of our favourite ways to add colour is with painting the backs of cabinets and bookshelves or inside kitchen cupboards or drawers. This quick weekend DIY project can make a big impact in a neutral space and while we love using bold colours like orange, red or lime green, you can also make impact with a softer shade perfect for a more traditional space. Pull colours from your rug, favourite fabric or accessory already in the room.
This trick is also great for styling your shelves. A background with a bit of colour will make your books, accessories and glassware stand out.
Which paint should you use? When working with deep or accent colours save yourself time and effort by using a premium paint that covers well in fewer coats. Benjamin Moore Aura is one of our favourites. A matte or satin finish will be washable without being too glossy and distracting.
